Image Statement: This is one of my ongoing year-long tapestry diaries. In 2020 I felt that hope was what I needed to face each day of uncertainty. My tapestry diaries are ones in which I weave a small part each day of the year--every color change in the tapestry was done on a different day. Every month I selected a feather to weave within the framework of the changing days. A portion of Emily Dickinson's poem, "Hope," was my inspiration: "'Hope' is the thing with feathers-that perches in the soul-and sings the tune without the words-and never stops-at all."
