1) Margarita Cabrera is bringing her community-based art project, Space in Between, to Arizona. Cabrera will be hosting a series of art-making workshops at ASU’s Combine Studios every Tuesday and Thursday throughout September. The work created during the month will be featured in an exhibition beginning in October at Desert Botanical Garden.

3) The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg, VA, is hosting A Century of African-American Quilts. This exhibit features 12 hand-sewn quilts crafted by African American women, half of which have never been displayed publicly until now. The show is on display through May 2018.

9) The exhibition Beyond Pattern: Activism and Identity in Quilts by Thomas Knauer is on display now at Anderson Gallery at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. The show is up until September 30th.
