Tilleke Schwarz
Stay, 2020
threads on fine linen 60 x 65 cm.
Tilleke Schwarz (Netherlands) stitches ‘maps of modern life’. She includes anything that moves, amazes or intrigues her. Inspiration comes from daily life, media, flowers, textile tradition and cats. The result is a mixture of content, graphic quality and fooling around. The work can also be understood as a kind of visual poetry. For instance in this work STAY especially mushrooms, dried grasses and cats are included and the Corona virus enters in our life.
