Artist Statement From start to finish, this work has been a meditation, a way to quiet myself during the stress of the pandemic and our politically-charged environment. Choosing what to focus on, where and how to engage, and how best to help has been a moment-by-moment challenge. I've found balance by focusing on the good news along the way: blue skies above polluted cities, dolphins returning to Venice canals, and Leatherback Turtle nests flourishing on beaches. This work is a visual interpretation of my hope for a better world, where people can exist in harmony and prioritize healing the Earth over greed.
