In this session, which was held on October 13, 2020, SDA’s Advertising and Outreach Manager, Catherine Reinhart, discussed her socially engaged project, The Collective Mending Sessions.

The Collective Mending Sessions offers a space of making, learning, teaching, sharing, and connecting. As individual agency takes place, the student becomes the teacher and the community gains authorship. In turn, the gallery becomes a place of gathering where the art instigates and facilitates connection.
