Materials: Acrylic paint on natural and synthetically dyed cotton bands

Image Statement: I used an ancient resist-dyeing techniques to try to get the perfect circle on these cotton strips. It was to be a metaphor for the way we seek perfection - in ourselves, in our image and in our situation. I failed, but beautifully. Like life, we only achieve perfection when we give up the quest and receive with empty hands the perfection that is offered to us from above.
