Image Statement: Felted raw wool anemones (approximately 7x7 in) create as growing sea-like floor. This piece, like my introduction and exploration of fiber and materials during the pandemic, was fueled by a need for tactile and connectivity. Cumulative sensory and social deficits offset by slowing down into the language of craft, materiality and touch. This growing work was initiated during isolation (summer 2020) and part of my first explorations with natural fibers. The work is intended for installation.
