Apply for Beyond the Surface Student Scholarship
The Surface Design Association (SDA) is pleased to offer four (4) scholarships to students attending the 2019 SDA conference, Beyond the Surface, in St Louis, MO, October 3-6. These scholarships will cover the cost of student registration ($140) and shared hotel room. Students granted a scholarship will be expected to pay for travel and food. Consideration will be given to full-time students currently enrolled in a college or university (enrolled at the time of application), or up to two years post-graduation who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference without financial support, and for whom conference attendance will be impactful to their education and creative practice.
To apply, please fill out the form on this page and include two (2) images (one full and one detail) of your original artwork completed since January 2016 that best represents your work. Be sure to include the size, media, and techniques used), along with an artist statement (150 words max). There is no fee to apply.
Applications must be received by September 15.
